Bakeries
Well, Since this is the offtopic part of the forum, I figured this fit here.
We've been getting our cakes at Dee's Delights in Jennings for YEARS. My daughter's first birthday is approaching in September so obviously we were going to go there for her cake. We drove by the past few days and there is a hand written closed sign on their door and when I called the number tonight it's disconnected. So my guess is they're officially closed and out of business for the time being.
Now I'm stuck with no bakery and no experience with any other place besides Wal-Mart which I'd prefer to avoid. Do you guys know any bakeries within 30 mins that make awesome cakes and are good at designs also? I'm really at a loss besides looking through the yellow pages and trying to look up reviews online. I just figured since all of you are from the area it'd be best to ask here first.

Thanks but we already ordered a cake from Wal-Mart.. Not exactly what I wanted but it'll work. I'll keep her information though for next time we need a cake!
As for Dee's I have no clue. I'm rather disappointed since I loved their cakes, dips, etc.. They were all so yummy.
