If you wash your dog with Adams flea shampoo can you use advantage?
If I wash my dogs with Adams flea shampoo which leaves a residue on the skin for about two weeks, can I also use advantage on them after they are dry. Don't want to OD them on meds

Once your dog is completely dry it doesn't hurt to use Advantage. Unless your pet is really infested with fleas to start with you really shouldn't need a flea shampoo at all. If your dog is already infested with fleas then the flea shampoo will help remove the fleas that are already on your dog while the Advantage will provide extended protection.
We prefer to use Frontline over Advantage. Advantage will wash off and loose potency the next time you bath your pet unless you use a special shampoo that Advantage recommends. For that reason, you should only bath your pet every 30 days when it is time to apply Advantage again. Advantage will also wash off if your pet gets wet frequently.
With Frontline you can bath your pet once a week without fear of the Frontline washing off. No special shampoo is required and you really shouldn't have the need for a flea shampoo if you're dog is being treated with Frontline.
CAUTION! If using K9 Advantix:
K9 Advantix contains both imidacloprid and permethrin. This product is a once a month topical that can be used on dogs and puppies as young as 7 weeks. We do not recommend or sale this product because it can kill cats even though the cat is not (and never should be) directly treated with the product. If your have cats in your household I would strongly advise using a different preventative on your dog.

Thanks, just wanted to be sure, we normally keep the advantage on the inside dogs, since the frontline seems to be oily and messy in the house.
