found black lab evangeline area

My husband found a young black lab in the Evangeline area last week. Has a collar, but no ID. Hopefully someone is looking for him. I'll post photos soon.

Have you contacted the Animal Shelter in Jennings to see if anyone called asking if someone brought one in?

I Googled Lost black lab for that area and found a few missing.

It would help to know if it is a male or female and the color of the collar.

Its a black male. I'm not good at guessing large breed ages. Maybe 10-12 months. Its still in that lanky puppy stage, but nearly full size height wise.

I've posted on both websites now. Thanks for that tip. I tried to call Jennings animal shelter but got a machine. I left a message. I also plan to bring him to be scanned for a chip.
